TECSPA successfully hosted an exclusive Business Breakfast Networking Session with the Welsh Government (United Kingdom) on 18th July 2026, bringing together 16 member companies from the region's technology industry to explore international business and expansion opportunities.
The interactive session was led by Mrs. Marylin Kumar, Country Manager – North & East India, Welsh Government, based at the British High Commission, New Delhi. She shared valuable insights into how Wales is emerging as a preferred gateway for Indian technology companies seeking to establish and expand their presence in the United Kingdom and European markets.
The discussion highlighted Wales' thriving technology ecosystem, covering sectors such as IT/ITeS, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Technologies, SaaS, Electronics, Embedded Systems, IoT, and Cybersecurity. Participants learned about the advantages of setting up operations in Wales, including access to world-class universities and research institutions, a highly skilled workforce, competitive operating costs, and strong industry-academia collaboration.
Mrs. Kumar also presented the comprehensive investment facilitation and business support offered by the Welsh Government to international companies, including assistance throughout the market entry and expansion journey.
The session concluded with an engaging interactive discussion where participating member companies shared their international growth plans, explored potential collaboration opportunities, and received guidance on expanding into the UK through Wales.

TECSPA successfully organized a Drinks & Dinner Business Meeting on 3rd May 2025 at Chandigarh Club, Sector 1, Chandigarh, bringing together 19 member companies for an insightful evening of networking and knowledge sharing.
The session featured Shri Rajesh Kadian, Senior Advocate and an expert in Trademarks, Copyrights & Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), as the Guest Expert. He delivered an engaging presentation on the growing importance of protecting intellectual property for startups, SMEs, and technology businesses.
The discussion covered the fundamentals and strategic value of Trademarks, Copyrights, and Patents, highlighting how businesses can safeguard their brands, software, products, innovations, creative works, and other intellectual assets. Members also gained practical insights into the registration process, enforcement of IP rights, common legal pitfalls, and strategies to build long-term business value through effective intellectual property protection.
The interactive Q&A session enabled participants to discuss real-world business scenarios, clarify legal aspects related to branding and innovation, and seek expert guidance on protecting their intellectual property.
The evening concluded with a networking dinner, providing members with an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, build business relationships, and interact personally with the guest expert.
